PM 'gets urgency' of vaccines by allowing pharmacies to offer jabs

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Prime Minister Scott Morrison is showing he gets the urgency of vaccines by moving pharmacies up the chain to administer jabs.

Mr Morrison earlier made the announcement that AstraZeneca will be available in pharmacies.

“Many would argue that this should have happened earlier,”Mr Clennell said.

“The issue here will be around AstraZeneca and the fact he’s saying it’s AstraZeneca going to all the pharmacies from Monday.

“There has been that view that you have to go through your GPs first, this short circuits it.

“What will be interesting to see out of this is the take-up.”
