Advancing Ecosystem Restoration with Smarter Permitting

California’s ecosystems are vital to the state’s water supply, agriculture, wildlife, and economy, yet many of these ecosystems are in dire health. Large-scale ecosystem restoration is urgently needed, and embracing smarter permitting can help. Letitia Grenier, 2020 PPIC CalTrout Ecosystem Fellow and program manager with the San Francisco Estuary Institute, presents on PPIC’s latest report, Advancing Ecosystem Restoration with Smarter Permitting. She then moderates a panel discussion featuring Erika Lovejoy, program director with Sustainable Conservation; Heather Dyer, CEO/general manager of the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District; and Xavier Fernandez, planning manager with the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board.
