This Waterslide Shouldn’t Exist

For a lot of you, summer is just around the corner. And today, it is not quite clear whether a lot of you will be able to make it out to a waterpark or not, but if you do, there are some things you should be aware of ….like a couple of waterslides that should not exist at all. Today we’ll be looking at a list of “Insane Waterslides that Should not Exist!” You’ve probably seen a few of them in our previous lists and you might remember them for the terrible incidents that happened in them. It even makes you wonder - who came up with the idea to build something as dangerous as this? So, find out what’s so thrilling about these rides and decide for yourself whether you’d give these waterslides a try. When you look at the slides at the top of the list, you’ll really start wondering, why do they even exist?

Let’s check them out!

X-Treme Faser, Germany

You can find this ride inside the Galaxy-Erding Tropical Spa, just forty five minutes away from Munich, Germany. Talk about sexism - this ride is suitable for men, but not for women. A record in incidents has shown that many women have hurt their private parts while riding the X-treme Faser and some of them even had to be hospitalized. For that reason, this ride is now only open for male riders. The X-treme Faser reaches speeds as high as 45 miles per hour, and for some reason, the high speeds and the free falling have proven to be harmful to the female anatomy. But park authorities don’t want you to think they’re being sexist. They say they’re doing everything they can so both men and women can enjoy this ride without extreme consequences. However, this is not the only extreme ride in this park. There are many of them. If you’re not a daredevil, this place will probably make you question its existence - but trust me, there are many people who would enjoy rides like these, even if there’s a chance that they might end up in the hospital.

Insano, Brazil

Brazil is widely known for its loud carnivals and exotic landscapes that will take your breath away. Surely, the place looks like an ongoing party of colors that never stops. Being such a tropical destination, it only makes sense that this country is also home to one of the tallest water slides in the world. It’s called Insano and when it opened in the late 80s, it was immediately considered the tallest and fastest by Guinness World Records. This ride is as high as a 14 storey building - it’s so high that you can even see the Atlantic Ocean from up there. And of course, it will take you awhile to get to the top, but it will only take you four or five seconds to make it down this steep water slide. However, I am sure those five seconds will feel long. You are only allowed to ride on your back, with your legs crossed - but probably that won’t be a problem since you’ll barely have any time or space to get into a different position.

The Aqua Sphere, Australia

Nothing seems threatening about a ride that has the shape of a sphere. Honestly, it looks like any other regular fun ride at any waterpark. However, you only need to hear a few stories of what has happened inside this sphere to change your mind. To ride on The Aqua Sphere, you need to get inside a floating raft. It’s all smooth and peaceful until you make it to the spheres, where your draft could easily turn you around and send you down backwards. And I guess we all like a little bit of surprises and thrills, but the aqua sphere has been so intense that some people have gone out of it with a few injuries One of the scariest stories is that of a kid who got thrown against the walls of the slide so hard that he left the ride unconscious. The authorities had to close the park for ten months so it could undergo strict testing and major improvements.
Later on, some people came forward and admitted that there had been injuries during the testing stages, before the ride even opened to the public.

Slide-Wheel, China

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be inside a hamster’s wheel? Or maybe, you already tried that. But what do we get when we mix the concept of a hamster wheel and a waterslide? You get the slide-wheel, the first rotating and pendulating waterslide in the world! But what does that mean? Well, your ride starts on a raft, as you and your friends get fed into a hamster wheel and then it spits you out the other side.
