Chief Minister and SKM President Prem Singh Tamang (Golay ) handed over brand new vehicles and motor bikes to 28 hard working party workers at Samman Bhawan in Gangtok.
There are many SKM hardcore party workers who have supported the party selflessly during its hard times as opposition. Many have used their vehicles to carry other party supporters to public meetings and never charged a single rupee to the party leadership.
The above scheme is sponsored by SKM’s Youth Development Fund for the welfare of Sikkimese youths. The vehicles consisting of Mahindra Utility, Maruti Wagon R, Mahindra Bolero, Scorpio ZLX etc can be used for commercial purposes thereby giving a source of income for financial independence to the unemployed.
