Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young has called on all Queenslanders to step up and get vaccinated amid the "excellent" news the state recorded just one new locally acquired COVID case.
The case was part of the Beenleigh cluster and has remained in home quarantine for the duration of its infectious period.
"Please come forward and get vaccinated; the more people who are vaccinated the less the risk of an outbreak spreading so that it can't be controlled."
