I learned "Death and the Lady" (Roud 1031) from a recording of Norma Waterson & Martin Carthy. It's earliest entry in The Roud Folk Song Index is dated 1778.

I arranged this version after hearing the song performed by Norma Waterson & Martin Carthy. My instrument is an 1888 Thompson & Odell "The Luscomb" banjo tuned f♯DGAD ~ eCFGC.
