Delhi Gurdwara body writes to President Kovind seeking withdrawal of Kangana's Padma Shri

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) wrote a letter to the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, appealing that the Padma Shri awarded to Kangana Ranaut be withdrawn.

Further, the DSGMC said it will approach Maharashtra's Home Minister and the Commissioner of Mumbai police on Monday to register an FIR for arrest.

The committee had on Saturday filed a police complaint against the award-winning actress Ranaut for her alleged seditious and derogatory remarks against Sikhs on social media. The DSGMC has sought "strict legal action" against Ranaut.
