Heath Minister Greg Hunt has provided an update on the "potentially emerging" COVID-19 variant from South Africa.
"The WHO is holding a special meeting to discuss the variant," Mr Hunt said during media conference on Friday.
"The advice at the moment is to engage with the international communities."
