Wit the advent of winter we started exploring the one day trip destinations from Kolkata. Bortir Bill located in Nilganj, Barasat is an actual beauty of Bengal. The name of the village is Baraberia, Kharermath or in bengali খড়ের মাঠ.
We love to have tea, and hence in this trip Kajari prepared tea and we took it in a thermoflask. We also took homemade food, chicken and fried rice to enjoy while having the mind blowing boat ride in Bortir Bill. The boat ride in the shallow waters will give you a serene experience and the surroundings covered by water hyacinth and white water lilies gives a picturesque view.
We also strolled along the narrow village lanes and explored the paddy fields. Altogether it was a well spent Sunday. For travelling to Bortir Bill, I will suggest to follow google map location, as it is little bit confusing.
