Teknolojideki başarılarına ve ilerlemesine bakıp her gün alkışlarla kendisini yücelttiğimiz insan ırkının, aslında,
Özgürlükler, toplumsal cinsiyet ve bireysel haklar konusunda sınıfta kalışına ve bir adım ilerleyememiş olmasına,
Nesli tükenen onca canlının vebali boynumuzdayken bir de çocuklarımıza yaşanır bir dünya bırakamayacak kadar hala kör olmamıza, güce ve paraya tapmamıza dertlendiğim günlerden bir gün,
Dünyanın en temel ve acil çözülmesi gereken 17 problemini bir şarkıya dökmemi ve söylememi istediler….
Kendimi ifade edebileceğim tek yolun müzik yapmak olduğunu seçtiğim ilk günden beri, bir sözle, bir şarkıyla veya sesimle birilerine çare olabileceğim ya da bir şeyleri değiştirebileceğim fikri beni hayata bağlayan en değerli duygu oldu.
Bu yüzden benimle beraber ayni hayali kuran Emre Kula ve Serdar Erener’e teşekkür ederim..
Umarım,
UNDP ile bu 100 yılda bir denk gelen salgına rağmen yılmayıp hayata geçirdiğimiz şarkımız, daha iyi günler ve gelecek için bize umut verir.
Ve küçük de olsa bir fark yaratır….

One day, when I was profoundly sad thinking how human race whom we honor everyday with an ovation due to its advancement and technological success, failed to ensure freedoms, gender and individual rights,, feeling guilty for extinct wildlife, and being too blind to see that we will not be leaving a habitable world to our children, but instead, a race worshipping power and money, they asked me to express, via a song, the 17 most fundamental problems of the world awaiting urgent solutions.
Since the day I chose making music as the only means of expressing myself, the thought of being able to change things and help people via lyrics, a song, or my voice has been the most valuable feeling that makes me appreciate life.
For this reason, I’m thankful to Emre Kula and Serdar Erener for sharing this dream with me.
I hope this song, which we unrelentingly brought to life with UNDP despite the once-in-a-century pandemic, gives us all a hope for the future and makes a difference however small it may be.
