Do you know the salesperson who has etched his name in the Guinness Book of World Records? It's Joe Girard! Yes, he has achieved this feat long back and set an example in front of us.
He was actually a school drop out. After leaving the school, he did some odd jobs. However later at the age of 35 he felt that he should have a proper career. So, he joined a car dealership as a salesman.
On the very first day of his job, he sold a car!
Later he went on to become the world's greatest salesman as he sold about 13,000 cars between 1963 - 77 i.e. 6 cars per day.
He attributes his success to his personal connections with the customers and the referrals.
