In the literary world, the advice is often given to ‘write what you know.’ But a novelist in Oregon who wrote a book called “How to Murder Your Husband” may have taken those words too literally. After Nancy Brophy’s husband of 26 years died an unusual death, she became the No. 1 suspect. And now she’s on trial, with prosecutors saying that surveillance footage ties her to the scene of the crime. Brophy has been in jail since 2018.
