Robert Lewandowski has already appeared in three preseason games, but that did not dampen the excitement of hundreds of fans who travelled to Camp Nou to see him introduced as a Barcelona player.
The most interesting thing is that he entered the pitch wearing the legendary number nine jersey. Lewandowski has been wearing the number 12 during preseason matches, as Memphis Depay wore the number 9. The two appear to have agreed for Lewandowski to take his number.
President Joan Laporta walked Lewandowski onto the pitch, thanking Sporting Director Mateu Alemany and Lewandowski, but also, unusually, Lewandowski's agent Pini Zahavi for his assistance in completing the deal.
Memphis has been linked with a transfer away, so Lewandowski's new number might be a signal.
