The Hawks has told Parliament that it functions with half of its required personnel. The unit's head Adv. Godfrey Lebeya detailed how this forced them to have just one investigator per case. Lebeya and his team are currently investigating the July 2021 unrest, the Phala Phala far robbery saga and fraud in mucupalities, among others.
