Putin wants to pause this war and achieve temporary ceasefire. He wants this in order to train his new soldiers and build more weapons. Russia might give up Kherson in exchange for ceasefire. But Ukraine might be able to liberate Kherson on its own within a week. Most likely, Russia prepares to "Goodwill Gesture" Kherson. In the meantime, Ukraine continues to make gains in the East and encircle Svatove.
