The BRUTAL Execution Of The Woman That Shot Lenin

One of the most influential figures in politics in the 20th century was Vladimir Lenin. He would lead the Communist Party in the Soviet Union and would seize control. However throughout his life, Lenin suffered with ill health and he eventually died younger than he should have following a number of strokes. But one woman who was executed for her role in firing 3 bullets at Lenin was Fanny Kaplan. Kaplan was a Socialist Revolutionary who had grown tired of Lenin and his politics, and because of this she decided to try and assassinate him.

As Lenin was leaving a factory, Fanny Kaplan fired three shots at Lenin and two of these hit him causing severe injuries. It's believed that these bullets could have caused his strokes later in life, and that her assassination attempt in this sense was successful. But Fanny Kaplan who was partially sighted and experienced blindness would be executed, as she was taken into a Garden and then shot by an executioner. Her remains were never found, and still today some historian's debate the role she had in the assassination of Lenin.
