Who did the Calgary Flames protect and who did the Calgary Flames left exposed ahead of the Seattle Kraken Expansion Draft?
I talked about and go in depth on who the Calgary Flames protected and who the Calgary Flames left exposed ahead of the Seattle Kraken Expansion Draft heading into the 2021-22 NHL Season. Ultimately the picks we're obvious that most hockey fans and hockey pundits felt that the Calgary Flames protected which made sense given the business and where the team is at. However a tough decision was made but necessary on who the Calgary Flames left exposed but is worth risk in captain Mark Giordano.
What do you think of the Calgary Flames protected list and who do you ultimately think will get taken by the Seattle Kraken?
My personal ranking of who'll likely be Seattle Kraken bound:
1) Mark Giordano
2) Oliver Kylington
3) Derek Ryan
4) Milan Lucic
Can't see anyone else outside of these four players unless a side deal or trade occurred.

The Flames opted to protect seven forwards, three defensemen, and a goaltender:
Forwards: Mikael Backlund, Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk, Sean Monahan, Elias Lindholm, Dillon Dube and Andrew Mangiapane
Defensemen: Rasmus Andersson, Chris Tanev and Noah Hanifin
Goaltender: Jacob Markstrom
The players available for selection by Seattle are as follows:
Forwards: Milan Lucic, Derek Ryan, Josh Leivo, Matthew Phillips, Byron Froese, Glenn Gawdin, Zac Rinaldo, Justin Kirkland, Brett Ritchie, Buddy Robinson and Dominik Simon
Defensemen: Mark Giordano, Michael Stone, Oliver Kylington, Nikita Nesterov and Alex Petrovic
Goaltenders: Tyler Parsons and Louis Domingue
Note: Milan Lucic agreed to waive his no movement clause ahead of expansion draft.
