Chess Super League is launched. Here's all that you need to know. Dates: 11-17 October 2021 Prize fund: Rs.40 lakh This league is organized by Samay Raina, ChessBase India and Nodwin Gaming.
6 teams with 6 players in each team:
1. International GM
2. Indian GM
3. International female player
4. Indian female player
5. Indian junior boy
6. Indian junior girl The tournament will witness the participation of some world class players like Ding Liren, Hikaru Nakamura, Anish Giri, Teimour Radjabov, Hou Yifan (the strongest female player in the world), Muzychuk sisters, Nana Dzagnidze, Alexandra Kosteniuk, Vidit Gujrathi, Sasikiran Krishnan, Koneru Humpy, Dronavalli Harika, Tania Sachdev and young grandmasters like Gukesh, Raunak Sadhwani, Savitha Shri and others.
Some of the very famous and well known celebrities like Biswa Kalyan Rath, Tanmay Bhat, Raftaar, Zakir Khan, Mortal will be the face and team owners.
From 11-15 we will have the round robin league with each team playing a game. On 16th and 17th the Semis and the Finals will be held.
