HIGH-TECH SPACEX SUITS ABSOLUTELY HUMILIATED THE OTHERS
SpaceX is making history in its development of Starships. So it would be safe to say that a new breed of spacecraft requires a new breed of spacesuits. Created by the Hollywood costume designer behind Batmans’ iconic rubber six-pack, SpaceX’s snazzy new spacesuit pairs the bold lines of a couture tuxedo with the utopian optimism of vintage sci-fi.
So, how are the spacesuits from SpaceX different from other spacesuits?

But first, what is the importance of the SpaceX suits?
A space suit is a garment worn to keep a human alive in the harsh environment of outer space, vacuum and temperature extremes.
Spacesuits are often worn inside spacecraft as a safety precaution in case of loss of cabin pressure and are necessary for extravehicular activity, work done outside spacecraft.
SpaceX space suits augment the basic pressure garment with a complex system of equipment and environmental systems designed to keep the wearer comfortable and to minimize the effort required to bend the limbs, resisting a soft pressure garment's natural tendency to stiffen against the vacuum. A self-contained oxygen supply and environmental control system is frequently employed to allow complete freedom of movement, independent of the spacecraft.
How did Elon Musk start creating it?
Michael Bay, the director of the 1998 cosmic disaster movie Armageddon, once gave an interview discussing the worst crisis in the making of the film.
“Three weeks before our first day of principal photography, I went to see the spacesuits,” Bay said. “They looked like an Adidas jogging suit on a rack. That’s where I almost killed myself.” Because, he said, if you don’t have “cool” spacesuits, the whole movie is sunk.
Apparently, Elon Musk subscribes to the same school of thought.
It’s little wonder, given that the prototype was created by Jose Fernandez, a costume designer who worked on Batman v Superman, The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, X-Men II, and – well, you get the idea.
